First Aid At Work Level 3

Award

RQF

Course Duration

3 Days

This Level 3 Regulated Course allows you to become a fully trained First Aider in your workplace. This regulated qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within the industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982. The recommended course duration is 3 days and topics covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.

The qualification is assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration. All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, detailing their achievement.

The HSE dictate, that to be valid in the workplace, learners must retake the First Aid at Work qualification before the expiry of 3 years from the date that the original qualification was achieved. If no more than one calendar month over this 3-year period, you may qualify to take the course again in two days rather than three. We call this our ‘requalification’ course. You must give a copy of our original certificate to your instructor to qualify.

The HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders complete annual first aid refresher courses.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements. Please be advised that the classroom course has a minimum age requirement of 14.

The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate.
